This, OOAK, handpainted, handmade, original art, vintage-style, decorative, table top screen, is truly beautiful. It brings a little garden right into any room where it is placed, making a big statement in any decorating scheme where its romantic cottage style would be appropriate. The wood, three-panel, screen is an original design, completely hand-built and finished, in a distressed white. On all three panels, gorgeous, handpainted, pink, white, and yellow, Foxgloves tower in the foreground, while a blue-skied, lush, lakeside, landscape looms in the background. This gives a great depth and the naive, storybook charm so often found in antique paintings. The same unique, tritych, painted scene contiunes across all three panels. A detailed bee flys in to visit the flowers, and carved wood ornaments embellish the top of each panel, which were all antiqued and then sealed with an oil-based varnish. The screen measures a large, 21" x 31" overall. The center panel is, 10" x 21", with each of the side panels measuring, 10" x 16 1/2". This screen will lie flat, but, when standing, the side panels are hinged to bring each one forward so that the screen stands securely upright. The back is nicely finished wood, in the same shabby-white finish, so that this piece would be fine displayed where the back would be visable. Displayed on a buffet, entry/hall table, or on a sofa table, behind a couch, this original art, screen would make a big impact. No prints were made from the painted panels, and I never paint the same piece twice, so this is a one of a kind. Because of the hinged design, only one of the side panels ( either the left or the right one ) will fold flat over the center panel, while the other side remains in a slightly angled position for shipping or storing. This piece, because it can open completely flat, would also make a lovely piece of wall art, if the appropriate hanging hardware were added to the back. This piece would be both professionally packed and shipped by UPS.
