A dramatic statement necklace accented with lapis lazuli and anchored with an elegant brass Ankh, carried by two twisted brass snakes which hang from a hand-wrapped rosary style chain of lapis stones and czech glass with brass-plated pewter accents.

Named after the Egyptian snake goddess, Wadjet, this piece was inspired by the 19th century Egyptian revival. The lapis used is a deep blue, with gorgeous flecks of gold inclusions.

Necklace measures 17" including shepherd's crook clasp.

These earrings were made to compliment this necklace: http://www.etsy.com/listing/95860064/ankh-earrings-in-brass-and-lapis

Your necklace will come wrapped up in a little gift bag. (A lovely customer has told me she reuses the gift bags, filling them with lavender and herbs and using them as drawer sachets to keep the moths away!)

All handmades are created one at a time in my little Victorian home in a cobblestone street in the shadow of the medieval walls of the city of York.
