1930s Writing Case Stationery Case Attaché Briefcase

A stunning 1930s attaché case which works equally as well today for notebook or ipad. Measures 12" x 8" x 3" and in very good condition. The coating is faux snake and feels either like nubuck or goatskin as it has a suede like feel, but I don't know for sure what the coating is. The interior is linen lined and has several sleeves for documents all held in place by a leather clip strap. One of the op sleeves has a small tear along the edge which does not show in the photographs. The lock is in fair condition and would have, at one time, a spring loaded lever which no longer opens on it's own when the lock is released and has to be lifted manually. The case comes complete with original key. Other than that I would say this case was in exceptional condition with only minimal signs of scuffing to corners etc. The handle is in good condition with no loss of stitching and no fraying.

Altogether an exception example of 1930s craftsmanship!
