So unusual and refined, this lovely chiffon gown reminds me of the one Katharine Hepburn wears in The Philadelphia Story. With a peter pan collar, button-down closure, and ruffled trim at the banded waist, this is the perfect fusion of sensible and sweet, seductive and demure. Impossibly flattering and chic!

Brand: None listed
Material: Chiffon/tulle (not quite either, but a loose-weave chiffon), satin underslip
Circa: '40s
Condition: Good vintage; some yellowing at underarms, no other noted imperfections
Material is not silk, but likely a rayon blend--so possibly the underarm discoloration will dryclean or soak out.

waist 26"
hip: free
length: 55" from shoulder to hem
shoulders: 13" (please note that this is somewhat slim through the shoulders)
