Amazing! This is spot on for mid century, Middle American, populist artwork. Big eyed children were all the rage. Artist Myrle Medeiros was a California artist who's works were sold through Woolworths from 1962 to 1975. She contributed to the kitsch big-eyed waif art of the time, doing child portraiture as sets (boy and girl), using typical props of the time. This is such a set.
The girl print is called called Boobsy Girl, and show a child in braided pigtails, wearing a jumper and hoding a little kitten. The boy print is called Jacky Boy and shows a young man in newsboy hat with a dog. Each is printed on a textured cardboard substrate.

The frames and prints each measure about 17" X 32. The frames have a few blemishes, but are in good condition. The prints might have fading from sun exposure, though the color looks similar to the other examples I have found on the internet. The only noticeable flaw is a small water mark to the left of the girl's ear. Really not noticeable except with thorough investigation, but needs to be pointed out.. I think this pair has great decorative value, and will be the kitschy highlight in the right decor.

Shipping charge includes insurance, and delivery confirmation. As always, your shipping charge will be what the post office prints on the stamp for parcel post. If I quoted high, even on multi-item purchases, I will refund you the difference back to your PayPal account. If I quoted low- you've got a deal!
