A rare find! A lightweight late 1940s summer suit in good condition and a large size.

This suit is made of lightweight cotton material with very fine blue and white vertical stripes (which play some funky tricks on the camera). This is not seersucker as it lacks the puckering associated with seersucker. It is a very fine, delicate see-through fabric that drapes surprisingly well, making this suit rare since these summer suits were usually worn to death.

The jacket is two-button closure, has patch pockets, is skeleton lined and is ventless. All buttons are present. Lined with very light blue/purple satin.

The trousers are pleated and have 1.5" deep cuffs. While it has belt loops it does lack suspender buttons. The Gripper snap and Conmar zippered fly both work fine.

Condition wise, there are several flaws. There are a couple tiny, tiny holes in the lower back of the jacket and one on the right pocket. Part of the lining along the interior of the collar has also come unstiched but that is a quick fix.
The trousers have several small holes near the pockets and further down the leg. All holes in this suit are minor and could go unnoticed by the casual observer.
Also some minor staining around the top front button and on the back of the collar (see third photo).

The perfect vintage suit for that Hollywood style during the hot summer months.
