Vintage coffee or tea pot by Noritake, Japan.

This is quite a substancial piece and yet very graceful. Crisp white stoneware with a band of inverted heart shapes and stylised flowers and plant forms in pea green, golden yellow and a hint of mocha brown. Open flower motif to the finial on the lid.

Such a a nice style: mod 1970's with a hint of Art Nouveau!
The Palos Verde pattern was produced as part of Noritke's Progression range, introduced in the late 1960's and continued production until 1979.

This piece is in good condition: no cracks or crazing, though there is a tiny nibble on one side of the spout. It does feel quite smooth, so it's possibly a glazing flaw. Please see the detail photos.

Stands 7.5" high and the base is 5" wide. Holds a generous 1.2 litres and pours well.

International buyers:
This piece is quite heavy. It weighs in at well over a kilo. Convo me for a custom shipping quote if you are interested.
