This lovely stoneware vase, decorated with an inky blue glaze, was made by Bennett Welsh of Pacific Stoneware. Based in Portland, Oregon, Welsh had a long career as a potter and taught his craft at the Portland Art Museum’s school.

Measures 10 ¼ inches high, just under 4 inches square. Molded marks on underside, dated 1972.

Overall condition is very good, with minimal surface wear.
