This medium sized bowl will catch your eye as it looks different from every angle, and is ideal for serving soup, salad, cereal or any number of foods. It was thrown on the potter’s wheel using white stoneware clay and after it was bisqued fired, it was dipped in a bucket of blue rutile glaze. The color ranges from blue to coppery brown to beige. Where it is blue the glaze is at its thickest, and the paler browns are the thinner glaze. It dripped and swirled so the end result is so unique! A must have for people who love pottery and its unique glaze finishes.

It measures just under 5 inches wide at the top and 2 ½ inches tall. It weighs 9.8 ounces (just over ½ pound). This is a newly mixed glaze that I am experimenting with, so if you are interested in more like this please let me know and I’ll see if I can make a set.

Fired in an electric kiln, this beautiful bowl would make a great gift and a gorgeous addition to anyone's pottery collection.
