1920s Etiquette book The Book of Good Manners dating from 1923.

502 pages on 'well-bred behavior, based on the kindness of heart and courtesy of mind in which they originate - are a fundamental of civilized life.'

There is so much in this, includes:
a passage on a formal tea as it may be given by the young hostess with a single waitress;
10 commandments of well-bred conversation;
what not to do if a lady asks you to crank her car and
wedding matters.

I'll try to remember it is incorrect to say spifflicated, intoxicated is correct.

PLEASE NOTE The main picture shows a much enlarged part of the front cover. The spine ends and corners are quite worn. The sides of the spine are split in places, hopefully all is clear in the pictures. 5 x 8 inches or 130 x 195mm.
