Antique Cover Journal - Recycled Blue Journal

This handmade journal was lovingly designed and made by me.

~ an antique book that was falling apart and headed for the dump
~ "Tom Brown's School Days", written by "An Old Boy" (aka Thomas Hughes), published in 1857 by Blackie & Son Ltd in London
~ the front cover shows the title and a pattern in a fabulous blind emboss
~ the back cover is blank, although there is a stain in the upper left corner
~ the covers are in fair condition

~ 120 pages (counting both sides)
~ six signatures (sections)
~ recycled white text paper
~ a smooth paper, great for any dry medium
~ the last page has my logo stamped on the bottom:

~ coptic stitch binding
~ extra strong natural linen thread
~ this kind of binding allows the journal to lay all the way open, enabling you to utilize the entire page

~ approximately 5" x 7.25" x 0.75" (12.7 cm x 18.41 cm x 1.90 cm)
~ a perfect size for on-the-go writing
~ the spine from the original book is included as a bookmark
