Flying in! This rabbit is flying in for his favorite treat, "Carrots"!

This game board punch pattern measures 6 x 9" and is in a fame with a 9 x 12" opening. Game boards are a favorite among primitive collectors and this piece will fit into any collection nicely. I used weavers clothe and 3 strand of embroidary floss to punch most of the piece. Detail work was done with 2 strands of embroidery floss and an ex-small needle. I backed the piece with a calico cotton print fabric that I tea stained to give it an aged look. The frame I found in a thrift store. Some sanding and paint brought it back to life.

I collect rabbits and checkers was one of my favorite childhood games. It just seemed natural to pair the two together. Each year, when I bring this piece out it brings back fond memories of having a good old checker game with my sister. Of course she would beat me more times then I care to count!

Why not pair this piece up with my Rag Top Carrots.
