Made of a mix of domestic & exotic hardwoods, Yucatan Ziricote - Honduran Rosewood, & Hard Maple, three very beautiful, dense & durable exotic & domestic hardwoods. No stock photos here...the pick shown is the actual pick you will receive. This pick design allows the guitarist to use up to three tips, and grip this ergonomic '"tanto-tip" guitar pick with exceptional control, great for all types of stringed instruments. This custom handcrafted guitar pick was meticulously crafted with the aforementioned hardwoods, it features laminated strips of ziricote & hard maple in between two pieces of Honduran rosewood outside edges for a simple yet sleek & custom look. Concave rough sanded thumb grooves on each side provide a superior grip that enables the guitarist to really explore new highs in guitar playing. This pick measures approx. 1-3/16” or 30 mm long X just over 7/8" or 23 mm wide, it is about 2.8 mm thick at the thickest part of the pick, but feels & plays thinner due to the thumb grooves on each side, the pick tapers down at each tip for maximum playability, this pick was designed with the guitarist in mind for total comfort, control, & durability, it is treated with a special oil blend, for lasting protection I let the pick soak in the oil to ensure that the pick is deeply penetrated, I then apply a natural bees wax paste & hand rub the pick for a smooth & silky finish, & if you perspire or moisten your finger tips, it will actually improve your grip. It may take a while to get used to playing with a wooden pick, but every guitar player that I know, simply can't live without their hardwood guitar picks. So why not take your playing to new highs with the unmatched performance & true tones that my handmade Artisan wood picks employ! They also make excellent gifts! Thanks for looking!

ZIRICOTE - Cordia Dodecandra
The tree is native to the Yucatan Peninsula in Central America from Guatamala to southern Mexico, & primarily Belize.
Ziricote is the most dramatic member of the Cordia genus, which grows throughout Central and tropical South America. It is a superior furniture & musical instrument lumber. The heartwood is dull brown with irregular dark brown and black streaking, and the sapwood is creamy white to light golden tan. A pleasing ray or fleck figure is visible in quartersawn stock. Ziricote's grain is generally straight, and its texture is medium to coarse.. It takes a smooth finish, polishes well, and holds screws and nails well. Long used by natives for decorative craft objects, ziricote is also used for boat decking, turnings, & interior woodwork.

HONDURAN ROSEWOOD - Dalbergia Stevensonii
The tree is native to Belize and or Central America
This true rosewood is just beautiful, as is the case with most genuine rosewoods, the heartwood is pinkish to purple-brown in color, with irregular black markings, & can range from a deep brownish-purple to a light-brown, most common is a brownish-mauve color. It is mostly straight grained with a medium to fine texture. Like most true rosewoods, Honduran Rosewood has natural oils that give it excellent resistance to decay. Turns well and finishes smoothly with a good polish. Being hard and dense, it has a somewhat glassy (resonant) tone when tapped with a hard object, making it well-suited for acoustic guitars, xylophone keys, and other acoustic musical instruments.

HARD MAPLE - Acer Saccharum
The tree is Native to North America – All along the Northern United States and throughout Canada.
Hard maple is creamy white with a reddish tinge and usually has a straight grain, sometimes very figured, also referred to as "curly," "fiddleback," and "birds-eye" figure. Fine brown growth rings give an attractive figure on plain sawn surfaces. Rays are longer than in soft maple, the texture is fine and even.
