♛The Details

A 50s dress that gleams in golden satin (somewhat darker in person than in my photos). Classic fit and flare silhouette with scoop neckline, fitted bodice, nipped waist with bow detail, and a full skirt held in perfect crisp shape by both a pellon lining and its own attached net crinoline. More bows trim the skirt.

Closes with back metal zipper.

Designer label is missing, but you can tell this was a higher end dress.

All accessories (belts, jewelry, crinolines, pins, etc.) are for style inspiration only unless indicated.

♛The Measurements

About a modern size S
Bust (underarm area measured flat, then doubled) 36"
Waist 26
Hips Full
Bodice (shoulder to waist seam) 15 1/2"
Skirt (waist seam to hem) 27"

♛The Condition

Excellent vintage shape with no flaws or issues found. It could benefit from a professional dry cleaning and pressing as it has a light "old clothes" scent and some tiny wrinkles here and there even after my assistant steam-pressed it.

Frequently asked questions about jumblelaya

Sorry, each garment in our shop is authentic vintage, dating from between 20 to 80 years old. We generally only have the one piece shown. We do not sew these items ourselves.

If you love it and it fits, consider buying it, since it's unlikely you'll find it again easily.
If it's older than, say, 1964 OR if you feel it fits our shop's aesthetic, absolutely! We pay fairly, generally 1/3 of retail, sometimes even more. Shoot us a note or set up an appointment to sell if you are in the Portland, OR metroplex!
Sure do! Convo us for an info sheet about it.
We do not have a brick-and-mortar shop, but we do have a private studio located on the banks of the Columbia River, directly across the river from Portland, OR. We offer LIMITED appointments currently, due to time constraints. But if you are serious about a piece or pieces you see, let us know and we'll set something up. Shop inventory is generally not kept in the studio, so you'll need to let us know ahead of time which garments you'd like to see in person.
