The Fotron is an unusual piece of camera history. The tag line for it on the instruction manual is "Handle with pleasure." It was originally marketed towards women, as a "simple and convenient" to use camera. Misogyny aside, lets be honest: it's a huge clunky thing with a million buttons. It was sold door to door, and the film had to be mailed in to the company for processing. Simple? Easy to use? Mmmmmm. Plus, at the time, it cost sort of a fortune. But it's still an interesting piece of camera technology, rare and unusual.

Body is sound and in good vintage condition, with almost no wear. The metal plate on top is engraved with the name of the company - with their phone number, which makes me wonder if this was a salesman's model. The plate is missing a screw. Comes with one snap in film cartridge, the case, a cable and an instruction manual. I have not tested this, and the camera is sold as is.
