This listing is for one (1) yard of a vintage 1950's French embroidered or jacquard ribbon. This is a lovely ribbon! Measuring 1" wide and with lavender and yellow flowers, with green vines down the center, tiny net lace and a lovely embroidered scalloped edge in a light spring green. Really, really lovely and in perfect vintage condition!

We have just 6 yards of this ribbon available. I have many more jacquard's to list so do check back!

Jacquard is a fabric or ribbon of intricate weave or pattern. The term refers to those fabrics that are manufactured using the Jacquard attachment on the weaving loom. It is named for its French inventor, Joseph Marie Jacquard. Versatility in designs and individual control of each of the warp yarns are the unique feature of this attachment. A Jacquard pattern has brought forth a design or pattern that is completely different than being printed on the fabric.
