Gorgeous suede jacket from the 70's in tan / burnt orange with a luxurious sheepskin collar and border. This jacket is made of beautiful quality, supple suede; the fur trim is soft, full, and I'm almost completely sure it's really sheepskin (but I couldn't find an edge to see for sure- it's definitely real wool fiber, however). Tie belt, suede covered buttons, side pockets, synthetic lining. In very good vintage condition- one of the buttons has a 1/2 inch long piece of suede missing, and there's a smaller nick in the leather near the same button, that does not go all the way through, just grazes the surface. There's some very light soil around the waist and cuffs which doesn't look bad at all, and some light gray discoloration under the arms on the lining only. The nice thing about this jacket is that the leather has stayed so soft through the years, and it looks and smells very fresh.

No size tag. Flat lay measurements in inches are:
shoulder: 17.5
chest: 20.5
waist: 18.5
hip: 23
length: 36
sleeve length: 23

Please note: when boxed this coat ways over 4 pounds, which makes international shipping prices jump to a higher rate.

Frequently asked questions about ReluctantDamsel

Some vintage items have a marked sizes but vintage sizes are very different from modern ones. I will usually estimate the modern size but this should be used as a guide only.

The only way to determine the size and fit of vintage clothing is to use the measurements provided in the listing. You can compare them to your own measurements- if the fabric is not stretchy remember to add an inch or two for comfort. Even better is to compare the measurements of the garment to well-fitting garment of your own that is similar in cut and fabric. Remember to use a flexible tape measure when taking your measurements! I'll be happy to answer questions and provide additional measurements but I can't guarantee the fit of any item.
Most listings in my shop give the full measurements but older listings use the "flat lay" system where you double everything but the length. All measurements are in inches and garments are measured as follows unless otherwise noted:

shoulder: seam to seam
bust: across the armpits
waist: usually at the narrowest part or natural waist
hip: usually at the fullest part: 9 to 10 inches below natural waist
length: shoulder to hem (dresses, tops, coats)
rise: waist to crotch with front and back waistband lined up (pants,
inseam: from crotch to cuff (pants, shorts, rompers)

Feel free to message me for additional measurements or clarifications!
I will mark an item as reserved for you for up to one week, if you are sure about the purchase. I may refuse to hold any item, especially if it's a brand new listing. Please convo me to request a reserve. At this time I do not accept trades.
I can often process rush orders- please contact me before or at the time of purchase if you need an item by a certain date (even if it's a week or two in the future, just in case!) If for any reason I can't ship your item quickly enough I will let you know and issue a full refund if you wish. TIP: send a separate conversation about your rush order in addition to using the "note to buyer" section of the invoice, so I'll be sure to see it quickly!
All my items are vintage (pre-owned and at least 20 years old) and normally I have only the unique item in the listing, so I'm not able to provide variations or multiples of any item.
All items in my shop are vintage and pre-owned, and small signs of wear are considered normal. Additionally vintage items may pick up a light odor from being stored for many years- anything worse will be taken care of before shipment. Any noticeable flaws will be mentioned in the item description but small and unnoticeable irregularities and signs of wear are part of unique nature of vintage clothing! Cleaning and pressing is up to the buyer. Always convo me with questions about condition or anything else!
Please treat vintage clothing with gentle care! The best cleaning method varies depending on the fabric and age of the item. Depending on the item dry cleaning, hand washing, or machine washing on a gently cycle may be appropriate. Some vintage items should never get wet, even to spot treat. Convo me for information on any specific item and I'll be happy to offer advice, but I can't guarantee the safety or effectiveness of any cleaning method.
The shipping price for any order from outside the US only covers my cost of shipping the order from the US Post Office. Customs fees or VAT charges/taxes are NOT included in the shipping price and will be added once the item arrives in the country of destination. Expect to pay an additional fee at your customs office once your order arrives. Information on VAT taxes or customs fees can be found online- look for the official website of the postal service of your country for more information.
All US orders are shipped with insurance, as are most international orders (availability and terms vary depending on your location- please contact me for details). If an item is lost or damaged in the mail please contact me right away and be sure to keep the package in tact just as you received it, packing materials and all. I will file a claim with the insurance carrier and issue a refund when the claim is settled. I will not provide a refund, store credit, or replacement items in the event an insurance claim is denied. Insurance claims will usually be denied if an order is lost after being marked as "delivered" or if the shipping address provided at the time of purchase is incorrect.
Please read the full description, compare measurements, and feel free to ask questions before purchase! I'm happy to accept returns BUT the buyer always pays return shipping which can get expensive, especially for heavier items and/or if you live outside the US.

Buyers must follow my shop's return policy in order to be eligible for a return. Please package returns carefully, as the return amount will be lowered if damaged in transit to due to inadequate packaging.

Items returned to me by a postal service or customs office (rather than the buyer) due to incorrect address, failure to claim package, or failure to pay VAT fees or other taxes are not eligible for a full refund. The refund amount (if any) will be determined case by case.
