Marked down for $30. Handcrafted of white stoneware on the potter's wheel with added handles, this jar is high fired to 2350 degrees f. in a soda atmosphere. Glazed on the inside and outside with honey colored saturated Iron glaze, and flashed in the soda flames to a transparent honey color.

5.5" w x 6.5 h"

Jars are among my favorite forms, and doing them without lids is a nice change. They can be made to express inner volume, or in this case, solid presence, and relate to a line of forms that go back thousands of years in the history of functional ceramics. I love to make them.

Food, microwave, and dishwasher safe

Some of the spoons in this jar are from Troy Bungart: http://www.etsy.com/people/burlchaser?ref=ls_profile
