This is a salvaged vintage industrial foundry wood pattern. Beautifully handcrafted wooden mold, with an urban rustic appeal. No doubt this is one of a kind, a unique conversation piece, with a fascinating history.

Such pieces were originally handcrafted in the machine shops of the 1930s - 1940s factories. They were then used as the forms or patterns to make the metal parts needed for the factory's machines.

The molds make beautiful home accents, the wood grain has been enhanced over the years, and the craftsmanship is amazing. This particular item works beautifully as a coffee table center piece, or a votive candle display. It would also work well with the larger wood and iron industrial tables and shelving units, where other accessories would be lost.

The woodgrain is especially noted on the clearcoated pieces. These wood patterns have been "revived" with wood polish and "elbow grease" in order to maintain their authenticity, and aged patina. They have not been "restored."

Fits well with Industrial Chic, Urban Rustic, Farmhouse, Shabby Chic, Cottage Chic, Vintage, Rustic, Woodland, Man cave, Den . . . .
