Down in the Garment District of Los Angles, was this totally amazing Millinery Supply Company that had been there from the late teens or 1920's. It was a large store, stocked ceiling to floor with the most amazing dry goods for milliners. It was easy to spend hours going through the stacks of boxes, not to mention the shelves holding roles of fabric. Dusty endeavor, but you came out richly rewarded, lol.
I was a frequent customer over the years. I flipped out over the chenille BIG TIME and think I bought every single roll they had! That was over 30 years ago!

I've used it when I get into millinery work, but have decided to share SOME. This is NOS from the 1920's to 1930's.
Each SIX YARD LOT I offer will be 6 one-yard lengths of assorted colors.
You might even find an attached old price tag here & there. Note that price is what I paid in late 70's, not vintage price when first in store.

The chenille is about 3/8" wide; a few colors are narrower and will be noted. Shown with pencil for reference. I believe it's made of Rayon, which would give the beautiful, silky sheen.
It's great for wrapping ends of bunched flowers, leaves, feathers. Essential for veiling "dots". The wire makes wrapping hold well and won't break unless you tug fairly hard. Looks better than any exposed floral tape and you can tie in color accents of textiles, flowers, leaves, etc.....
A little goes a long way.
This chenille is so cool, it'll get those creative juices flowing and you'lll find even more ways to use it!
Specifics will be given for each lot.

THIS LOT #8C is in delicious blues & greens: Peridot, Evening Blue, Turquoise, Bottle Green, Aqua Green, & Spruce Green. The Spruce Green is narrower.

Terrific for your millinery endeavors, costumes, theater, Christmas decorations, etc....
Don't miss out. I'm not sure how much I'm willing to part with!

I will be listing other combinations and happy to combine lots for shipping.
