Mountaineer by birth? By relocation? Or by heart? The motto on West Virginia's state seal applies to any and all mountaineers: "Montani Semper Liberi - MOUNTAINEERS ARE ALWAYS FREE."

This sign is fashioned on wood taken from an old cedar fence picket. On the first tier, hand-stitched (freehand) using navy blue on recycled linen are the words "MOUNTAINEERS ARE ALWAYS FREE." The stitching is backed in a subtle fabric of tan gingham.

The second tier has the Latin translation, "Montani Semper Liberi" hand-stitched onto recycled linen (freehand) using medium brown. The piece is given a primitive look with a coffee-based stain and rusty wire.

A great gift...from the Rockies to the Smokies to the Alps...for hikers, bikers, and cabin-dwellers. Made of mostly recycled materials in found in East Tennessee.

Sign is: 11 and 3/8 inches long, 5 and 7/8 inches high (total drop, with wire is approx. 9 inches)

Be sure to look for the 'Corn Cob' burned into the back of your unique piece. Much obliged that you took a notion to browse around CORN COB COVE.

God Bless!
