Description

"Intellect and Romance" - 11x17" Illustration

This is an art print on 11" x 17" cardstock. This print features hand-drawn line art with color added in Adobe Photoshop. The URL watermark does NOT appear on the actual print, and the artwork will come signed by the artist.

Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson makes no secret of his love of Doctor Who, and this print casts Craig as the Doctor and robot skeleton sidekick Geoff Peterson as Davros, creator of the Daleks. If any of that didn't make sense to you, this print probably isn't for you. Craig's costume is largely based on that of the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker), but features a stalk of celery pinned to his lapel (a trademark of the Fifth Doctor, Peter Davison) and the signature bowtie associated with Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith. His vest features the tartan of the Ferguson clan, and he is seen holding the Sonic Screwdriver and jellybaby snacks most associated with the Fourth Doctor.

Geoff Peterson is seated in the life support chair of Davros, and is dressed in his costume, although he retains the Price is Right style name tag of his normal attire.

Behind them is the Doctor's TARDIS, although its sign reads "The Late Late Show" as opposed to the usual "Police Public Call Box." Also, the St. John's Ambulance badge has been replaced with the crest of the Ferguson clan. All this is located on the set of the Late Late Show.

The title of the piece comes from a musical tribute to Doctor Who that Ferguson made on his show, stating that Doctor Who represented "The Triumph Of Intellect And Romance Over Brute Force And Cynicism."

This print would be a real treat for any fan of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and Doctor Who.
