A lovely set of five antique books from the poet and writer Victor Hugo, best known from his books 'Les Misérables' and 'Notre-Dame de Paris' or 'The Hunchback of Notre-Dame'.
Wonderful books for someone who loves Victor Hugo or French poetry.

The books are visibly old, the pages and covers have that magnifique sepia tone. In one of the books, someone has left notes on the sides and has underlined words and sentences... It makes me curious who has read these books with such passion...
Two of the covers have come loose and in some of them the pages have yellow spots.
But the books were printed halfway the 1800's...

The books were printed by
J. Hetzel
