I thought it would be fun to make pieces of jewelry inspired by my all time favorite books, and this necklace was inspired by Stephen King's The Stand. I started with this vintage brass skeleton pendant, articulated, with its arms and legs attached with jump rings. The two-sided skeleton is 2 1/4" long and about 1/2" wide, with great movement. I added a vintage filigree round brass connector. The total length of the pendant drop is 4".

The beaded necklace is 21" long, with a mix of opaque black Czech glass beads and crystals, and bright red faceted crystal rondelles.

Round toggle closure with t-bar. Necklace is strung on durable, flexible stainless steel Beadalon beading wire.

A spooky necklace for a brilliant book.
