Vintage 1930's Art Deco chrome mechanical cigarette lighter in the form of a airplane. This cool piece is 6" long and has a wing span of 5" , it stands 3" tall on the pedestal. It is chrome plated. To work the lighter you manually rotate the propeller one quarter of a turn, then the hatch over the cockpit opens, the flint sparks which lights the wick. When finished you close the hatch and it is ready for next time. There are two screws on the bottom to gain access to the lighter fluid and flint compartments. The flint is gone, but the spring and rod are working and ready for a new flint. There is no fuel in the lighter but it does have a wick. It has many scratches and may need new chrome, see pics. It is marked on the bottom Made in U.S.A. Pat. Pend. Fuel Flint.

Great for a lighter collection.
