This vintage cigarette case appears to be very old and believe it to be circa: 1940's. It is made of metal, and has turquoise colored paint on the outside and two pictures of Japanese scenes on the front.

The one on left upper corner has "Memory of Japan" on it, and the right edge has been torn off. The one in right lower corner has "Yomcimon at Nikko" on it, and has small area of left upper corner torn. It has dark red out line trim around pictures and front edge of case. The paint on the front and back has chips and scratches, but no dents in it.

The inside has silver looking metal with some tarnish and has double spring type holders attached on both sides to keep cigarettes in place. They both still have good spring to them. The closure / opener works well and hinge also moves freely.

This would make a great gift for the collector of unique pieces of history.

Measures: Approx. 4 inches long, and 3 inches wide.
