~ a haiku by Michael Dylan Welch

Birds can be symbols of immortality, freedom, love, peace and positive change. They have been considered both symbols and forecasters of events. Because of a Bird’s connection to the sky, they have been thought of as a supernatural link between the heavens and the earth and can suggest a departed soul. Makes a great gift for someone who has lost someone special.

I started making these little birds with the intentions of giving each one its own personality and character. Each is one-of-a-kind. Perhaps there’s one that sings to you.

Each is made of white porcelain clay, and is signed and numbered on the bottom. They average 4 inches from beak to tail (each varies). This bird is raku fired (pulled out of a red-hot kiln and smoked in flaming newspaper).

This bird is ready to ship. Please read my shop policies before making a purchase: http://www.etsy.com/shop/liciapfadt/policy?ref=shopinfo_policies_leftnav
