Hand made ceramic Mezuzah casing glazed in grey blue.
The mezuzah is embellished with a Hamsa (a sign of protection in many middle eastern culters) as well as the word "Shaddai" in Hebrew letters which is one of the biblical names of God -- which also serves here as an acronym for Shomer Daltot Yisrael, "Guardian of Israel's doors".

A mezuzah is affixed to the doorframe in Jewish homes to fulfill the mitzvah (Biblical commandment) to inscribe the words of the Shema "on the doorposts of your house."

The back of the mezuzah is open and has a clear plastic cover affixed permanently to protect the parchment inside.

Measurements: 4.5" long x 1.75" wide.

Each Mezuzah comes with a (non-kosher) copy of the Shema prayer (which is an important jewish blessing) to be rolled up and placed into the case -- mezuzah.
It also comes with two small nails for attachment to the doorpost.
