Vintage Replogle Reading Tray - 1950s

This is a reading or bed tray made by Replogle in the 1950's. The s the successor to the metal tray of the same design produced in the 1940's. This tray is made of a fiberboard and has a lithographed map on the front. However, just like the map of the 40's this one is highly detailed but interestingly shows NO Interstate highways!! The tray measures approximately 20" across and 13" tall from bottom to top!! It has a little shelf on the bottom to rest your book or magazine and two adjustable clips to hold the same in place!

The tray has many positions adjustable in the back and is really a great item to add to a map collection, a globe collection and many other types too numerous to mention!!!

This tray is in really great condition!! The map is colorful and vivid!! There is minimal soiling but nothing that detracts from the uniqueness of this great item. There is a small less than 1/2 inch scratch in Colorado and a piece of scotch tape that runs from North Dakota through Iowa. Neither of these mars are noticable unless you are aware tat they are there and in no way do they detract from the great look of this tray! The back mechanism is fully functional in all adjustments!!

As always, ENJOY!!!
