Handsome and rare, this 16mm movie camera is truly an artifact from another time. Produced by Kodak from 1925 to 1931, this is an early model that didn't have a threaded base for lens attachments. Full of steampunky deliciousness, it features a lot of bells and whistles operates by gears and disks - there is a disk toggle that moves the close up filters over the lens and veiwer simultaneously. That's sort of intense. There is also an eye level finder that involves lifting up to standing sights, and a waist level finder that is just glass. There is also a brass aperture selection plate, where in you twist the selector to the weather/lighting condition, which changed the aperture on the camera. Crazy. An amazingly intricate and interesting camera.

In good shape for it's advanced age. The most obvious wear is to the leatherette. Small lumps on the body show through the leatherette, see pics. Some of the lumps appear to be screws, but the others.... I don't know what caused this. There is some verdigris and wear to the badge/footage counter on the top of the camera. General soil and wear to all the painted brass parts, actually. And there is a small bend or tweak to the lip of the film chamber cover. It closes, but not tightly. Still, this is a minor problem on what is really a beautiful display camera.

Key winds, shutter moves, all parts appear to be in working order, but I have not film tested this camera, and am selling it as is.
