This antique aquatint is beautifully moody with the stormy skies and soft, pastel landscape, delicate details and gorgeous richness throughout. It is an artwork you can get lost in, the best kind!

A country home scene with a figure walking near a small brook running between two rustic houses. Bare trees reach up to the gray skies. It feels like a painting celebrating the end of spring, or maybe the beginning?

The top left corner is titled "Public par l'Estampe Moderne 14 rue de Richelieux Paris 1925" on the top right is written "Copyright 1925 by the F. H. Bresler Co. Milwaukee USA". The print number "68" is written on the lower left corner and the artist signed the lower right, "Andre Delaistre". He was a French artist born in 1865.

Matted and framed in a gold-toned frame with a glass insert. Everything is in very good condition. The mat has some slight discoloring in spots. The etching itself appears to be in very good shape. The frame has very slight nicks around the edges.

Measures 26 1/2" x 22 1/2".

A gorgeous piece of antique art!
