This Scrimshaw Cuff Bracelet is made of copper. The scrimshaw of the Buck with Antlers is bezel set in the copper. I am not sure if this is Ivory or Bone...I tend to believe it is bone due to having been set in copper.

For those who may not know, scrimshaw is when an artist scribes an image onto bone or ivory.

It is in excellent vintage condition with no damage I can find. I was also unable to find a maker's mark, however it may be hidden somewhere under the patina. Polishing this bracelet would ruin it, IMHO, so I will leave that choice up to its new owner.

This scrimshaw is large; measuring 2" x 1.5". The bracelet will fit a wrist size 5 to 71/2.

A lot of these type of bracelets were made in the 1970's, but mostly they seem to have been set in Silver. Because this is set in copper, I believe it was made earlier, sometime in the early 1960's.
