This is an original painting by the late (listed) regional painter Carl W. Illig (1910-1987). He was well-known in Western New York State. This example painted around 1955.
He was a plein air painter, often taking his easel and paints into villages and fields around East Aurora, NY. East Aurora is the home of the Roycroft institution, a center for the Arts & Crafts movement in the early 20th century. Mr. Illig had a long association with the Roycroft.

Entitled 'Country Lane', this 14 x 18" oil painting is in very good, clean condition, illustrating a house in the country in springtime. Bright greens, and sunshine. Handsomely painted. Signature is clear. The support is board. Labeled 'E-7' on back.
Feel free to contact me for more info on Carl W. Illig paintings.

Painting will be well protected during transport to your home or gallery. Paypal or M. O.
Buyer will receive this 14 in. by 18 in. unframed painting, well-packed, shipped by FedEx ground within US $17, or US Postal to Canada (higher cost). Please see my other Illig paintings for sale, and as always, thank you for looking.
