From the Fly leaf:
Tony Won’s is a unique American institution, a radio personality who has won thousands of friends simply by being himself, - the man with rich humor, quick sentiment, and a warm heart. Year after year, from coast to coast, wherever his voice has been carried over the air, wherever his books have traveled, thousands of people know him as their friend.

His SCRAPBOOKS, too, are an American institution. They are made up of quotations, verses, anecdotes, humorous fragments, - the things he has liked best and his friends have liked best. Some of his pieces are funny, some are moving. But all of them, marked by the warm humanity which he likes and stands for, will have a special appeal in this troubled and dangerous year.

Popular excerpts from the author's 1930s CBS radio program "Radio Scrap Book." Great glimpse of life in the US before Pearl Harbor.
