If you're going to perspire, what better to fan yourself with than this lovely victorian hand fan made of peacock feathers. The handle is wood wrapped in a wicker/rattan kind of material which is probably glued on but also held in place by a brown string woven around it. It has all the original 'eye feathers' though I think it may have seen a little background feather loss on the top. Clearly hand-made and once the accessory of a fancy lady. It measures 12.5" tall and is 10" wide. Makes a gorgeous wall hanging if you don't plan to use it, or it would be just the thing for carnival or mardi gras, burlesque, even belly dancing. It could even be part of an art piece, costume, or hair piece. All it takes is your imagination..... and good taste. Sure you could buy a new peacock feather fan, but why when you can be "green", recycle, and hold an authentic piece of victoriana?
