Sterling silver hand wrought bracelet with 2 jingly rattle charms. These are worn in pairs by children in Asia as a charm for protection or luck. Also so their mothers can hear them and know where they are in the house. This one is large enough to be worn as a bangle by an adult, so was probably an anklet. Design consists of a single piece of wrought heavy gauge wire with the ends wrapped around itself to adjust size. There is a stylized floral motif incised on one side. The round ball rattles are attached on the opposite side with hard-soldered rings, so they won't come off without some serious effort. Hard to date, but it is definitely an older piece, judging by the wear and patina. It is marked "925" on the inside, but has no other marks.

Condition is good- this is an older, hand made piece, so it has a rustic quality to it. The edges of the incised design are rounded and worn smooth from years of use. The shape is slightly out of round, probably from being repeatedly adjusted. The silver has a dark patina and is not terribly shiny, I've only used a silvercloth on it to pick out the detail. The construction is still solid and the piece is very wearable and sturdy.

Measure about 2 5/8" (7cm) across, but it adjustable in both directions. The width of the wire is about 1/8" (4mm). The rattles measure about 3/8" (10mm) in diameter, excluding the loop.
