Shell from the quahog clams have been utilized by the native people of North America of long ago, and even now. The purple striping that naturally occurs on these shells is perfect for many crafts. These pieces in particular have been picked up on the beaches of Hatteras Island, NC and have been polished by the ocean herself, so each piece is unique.

Herons are known for the patience and their grace. Whether you need a reminder not to act rashly or a reminder that sometimes stagnation can bring good things to you, this Heron will be a lovely partner to carry with you!

The Heron has been lovingly hand-painted using acrylics and sealed with a clear coat. While clear coat can help protect the acrylic image, please remember that it is still not meant to go through extreme temperatures or washing machines.
