Some of my favorite ideas for clothing are inspired by the sea--sometimes by the ocean itself and sometimes by what lives beneath the waves at its depths.
This draped top is inspired by looking at coral reefs and the multitude of life forms that comprise them. The body of this top is made of silk shantung and silk chiffon with a tricot lining(stretchy fabric often used to make slips). The embellishment is a mix of crochet using a silk/rayon/linen blend yarn, beads, buttons, metal bits, etc. I worked spontaneously and could not repeat this if I tried--this is an absolute original, as are most of my pieces.

Bust Circumference 36--38"
Side length approx. 16"
Front length at draped point 18.5"
Strap length (which runs from left breast over right shoulder to center back) 17"
There is a separating zipper running along the left side of this top so it is quite easy to get in and out of it.

I call this a subtle show-stopper. Wear it to an art opening, an eclectic beach/garden wedding, or just stun everyone on an ordinary night out :)
Any additional questions, just let me know in a conversation.
Thanks very much for looking.
