A wicked suit...Very unusual fabric...Irregular wig-wag design running vertically. A close look shows geometric 'hourglass' shapes separated by fine horizontal lines. Medium weight, two tone Gray...Sharp & Different! In certain light has a bluish/lavender cast.
Jacket: Narrow 2.5" notched lapel. Darted front
3 button closure with 3 on the cuff.
2" flap pockets on the hip with piping on bottom 1/2 only.
Single center tail vent. Half lined in Black satin with striped Oyster satin in the sleeves.
Two inside breast pockets, one with pre-1962 Amalgamated Union tag.
22.0" Chest, underarm to underarm
18.0" across shoulders
26.0" Sleeve, shoulder to cuff
32" Back, collar bottom to hem
Pants: Drop loop waist. Full cut, double pleat, tapered leg. First pleat forms leg crease.
36" waist (has been let out 2" on back seam), 29.5" inseam, 42" overall length.
1 3/8" waistband, belt loops for 1.5" belt. Hidden change pocket at waistband.
On-seam vertical slash pockets on front. Jetted seat pockets, one with thru button closure.
9.5" leg opening, 1 7/8" trad cuff. 1.5" hem-doubled...so lots o' room to let out.
Natural colored striped twill cotton linings.
A very 50's suit, especially the pant detailing and boxy shoulders/arms on jacket. Pant waist can easily be taken back in and cuffs let down if need be.
Excellent condition showing little sign of wear.
