This is the way tillandsias grow in their natural environment, attaching themselves to the porous bark of trees and absorbing moisture from the tropical air. I have carefully mounted nine plants of six beautifully different tillandsia species to this cork bark wall hang. It was difficult to capture the overall beauty of this piece all in one shot! A large brachycaulos centers the display, surrounded by two fuchsiis and two ionanthas. Alternating utriculatas and a bergeri meander toward the top, while a gnarled kolbii reaches toward the ground. Virgin cork bark is a lightweight, sustainable, renewable, and environmentally friendly natural resource. Cork bark is “stripped” off the cork oak trees at appropriate intervals without damage to the trees and allows new bark to grow in its place so there is no harm to nature; no trees are cut or destroyed. This display comes with attached sawtooth hanger and is ready to be displayed on your wall, hung with wire or leaned against a shelf. Simply dunk the air plants in water 1-2 times per week or run the planted side under a faucet. The cork bark is rot resistant and may be moistened as well, though the air plants would prefer it not be wet all the time. An incredible display of these amazing little creatures in their natural form. Please specify if you would prefer this as a wall hang with sawtooth hanger or prefer to use it as a tabletop display. Cork bark measures approximately 7" wide by 4" with plants increasing size of the overall display. Unpackaging and care instructions will be provided. Shipping charge includes a 72 hour shipping warmer pack to help protect plants from cold weather. This lovely piece of living art will ship USPS priority with delivery confirmation.
