Locket - 1-1/4" tall and 3/8" thick. In excellent vintage condition. Inside are the original glass panes, gold frames, and blue paper mats. Beneath the paper mats, the locket has a silvery grey cast, which may be due to either the engraving or the enameling process.

Chain - Hair work chain is 21" long. Box clasp is 3/4" wide and 1/8" thick. In excellent vintage condition. The light brown hair work necklace is worked in various patterns. The lengths are joined together with gold bands and the ends terminate with a beautiful little box clasp with millgrain border, engraved leaves and the monogram MS. There may or may not have been a plate on the back of the clasp--the area is open, but there is no sign of damage that would indicate something missing. The clasp is in perfect working order.

Hallmarks - Unmarked and untested.
