So many Kokeshi crafts (on Etsy) have inspired me to make my own Kokeshi.
My first Kokeshi-chan dresses red traditional Komon pattern Kimono. I stitched lapels by dark green European embroidery thread.I layered poly craft cotton and thin wool mousseline on back.
Bracket-stitching around layers. Her hair is stitched by European embroidery threads, reddy brown and green.
I drew her face by fabric ink. She smiles as japanese traditional Kokeshi always do.

I wish my Kokeshi will always keep you smile!
