Here's a set of three vintage wooden picks ("bachi") used to play the Japanese shamisen (a traditional twangy 3-stringed instrument).

I love the simplicity and quality of their craftsmanship and can easily see how they'd look great on a shelf as a form of modern sculpture. Those black spots on the paddles aren't dirt so much as they are wear marks where the players' thumbs rubbed on the surface over years' of use.

I've seen new wooden picks like these priced at over $130 each. I've set the price below $100 for the three because they are used and in less-than-perfect condition.

Size (approx): 7.5" x 4" (20 cm x 10 cm)
Weight: about 3.5 oz each (100 grams each)

Shamisen Picks (shamisen bachi / shamisen plectrum)
