I think it's a little odd that a rooster would be hauling around a cart, but it sure is cute. The colors are so vibrant, bright and cheery. The cart would be the perfect spot to stash matches, or maybe toothpicks.

It's marked "Made in Occupied Japan." The funny thing about it is that it's written backwards. The letters read right to left. Very interesting. Anyway, the mark 'Occupied Japan" means that it was manufactured in Japan between 1945 and 1952. It's an old-y and goody.

It has no chips or cracks. No crazing. The glaze is matte and the colors are great.
