LOVELY VINTAGE UTENSIL FOR WHIPPING BATTER AND CREAM, 1950s

This retro batterwhip is wonderful for whipping up cream and batter for cakes or pancakes, just like they did in the 1950s.

Curved to fit the bowl and designed to let air flow through, this whip facilitates some great whipping action. The wooden handle also allows for a firm non-slip grip.

The whipper end of the batter mixer is made from shiny stainless steel and is embossed with the words 'Batterwhip', 'Made in England' and "Made to fit the Bowl'.

The handle is painted a turquoisey-blue and cream and features a hole at the end for hanging.

For lovers of shabby chic kitchenalia, this item would make an ideal addition and looks wonderful hanging from a drying rack or similar display.

Vital statistics:

Length at longest point: 30 cm
Width at widest point: 9 cm

In good vintage condition, this batterwhip is fully functioning with a very clean and shiny whip end. The wooden handle does show some signs of wear with a little peeling paint at the hole end.

The Fairytale Bit: 'The Gingerbread Man' fairytale that features a gingerbread man who comes to life is very similar to a number of tales based on a pancake that also comes to life and sets off for adventures.
