Bronze 1 3/4 (4.2 cm) diameter shawl screw

I was an Art History major, which was a lot of fun and basically consisted of remembering big words to describe things and making sure I used them on the test. Reticulation in metal work means melting the surface of the metal and creating an unpredictable but lovely texture. In this case, I pushed the temperature on the kiln a bit, and the result was lovely antiqued texture of this golden spiral. It has been thoroughly polished though, so it will still slide gently through your knits and hold them securely. . At 1 3/4" across, it weighs a little more than a nickel.

This pin is made of bronzclay which has been kiln fired , and then tumble polished for further strength and sheen. Hold your garments together with something as unique as they are.

Makes a great gift too!!
