Handcrafted wall-mount beer bottle opener with a unique cap catcher, attached to a solid oak plank, beautifully finished with a medium stain and gloss polyurethane. Edges of the plank are rounded for a smooth finish. Two pre-drilled, counter-sunk holes and included screws are used to mount the assembly on a wall. I recommend installing on a stud, bar, wall, or other solid surface.

The beer can cap-catcher is mounted to the plank using only one screw, so that it can be easily emptied. Simply tip it to the side, and the caps will dump out. Easy clean up, and a great conversation starter!

The bottle opener itself is a brand new cast iron Starr "X", which I've found work exceptionally well. These make great housewarming gifts, and are appreciated by boyfriends, fathers, and husbands worldwide! Great addition to any kitchen, man cave, garage pub, or workshop.

All the cans I use are in good vintage condition, and may have very minor dents or scrapes, but I do my best to clean them up. The photos for the listing show the actual can that you will receive, and if the lid is still shown in the photo, fear not- it's carefully removed so that the caps fall easily into the can.

Schmidt Beer, started in 1884 by Jacob Schmidt, was a wildly successful brewery in St. Paul, Minnesota, until that little pesky thing called Prohibition came around. After a failed attempt at brewing and marketing soft drinks during that time, they found success in a non-alcoholic malt beverage that kept the brewery operational through the end of Prohibition. Schmidt Beer is knows as the "Official Beer of the American Sportsman", which explains the outdoorsy theme on most of their cans, and there's a mysterious rumor of a can featuring an Astronaut.. space-walking being the most outdoorsy thing one could do, I suppose. While I doubt such a can ever existed, it's not going to stop me from looking!
