This drypoint print of a British Song Thrush is hand printed with etching ink on Somerset cotton rag paper. This is part of an ongoing study of the ecology of Devon Hedgerows. This bird print has been printed in a limited edition of just 6 prints.

The last photograph shows a framed example. The print listed is being sold unframed to keep shipping costs down and to let you have your own choice of framing style.

Each print is hand pulled by me.
The small perspex plate is inked with quality oil-based dark blue intaglio ink and printed with an etching press onto quality Somerset cotton paper. The print is signed, titled and numbered in pencil.

Image = 15cm x 8.5cm; 6 x 3 ½ inches
Paper size = 25cm x 21cm; approx 10 x 8 inches

This artwork was conceived and created solely as an original fine art print. Unlike a gicleé print or any other computer print out, none of my prints are reproductions of a pre-existing painting or drawing.

I like to use top quality heavy weight paper this one is Somerset 100% cotton, Velvet, 300gm/140lbs so It is best not to roll up prints for posting, especially when the printing process results in a fair amount of embossing. I will therefore only ship my prints flat and protected with card.
