A small bandsawn box made from beautiful Australian Blackwood. Otherwise known as Acacia Melanoxylon, this most personable tree grows along the eastern states, usually found as part of the understorey of wet Eucaplypt forests. Understorey....understudy...it's all the same to them! They're happy to remain in the shadow of tall elegant gums though because as you can see...they consistently produce this lovely lustrous timber. It is golden brown with chocolate growth rings. It's often used to make fine furniture and musical instruments.

I've finished it with an electric blue glass drawer knob, encased in clear with a few bubbles. The inside of the drawer has been lined in soft charcoal coloured flocking. It's the **perfect** size for storing bobby pins or hair pins, whichever you like to call them....either way the question remains - where do they all go?

The dimensions are 38mm high X 110mm wide X 38mm deep **or** 1.49" high X 4.33" wide X 1.49" deep.
