Vintage Japanese Porcelain Teacups, Occupied Japan

Clusters of rust colored berries mingle with sprigs of pastel blue and green leaves on these delicate white teacups. An additional band of rust colored glaze accents the teacup bottoms.

They are stamped with "Made in Occupied Japan," which refers to the years 1945 - 1952 when the Allied forces remained in Japan after WWII. These teacups were shipped to Hawaii, where they were discovered all these years later.

Each teacup is about 2.75" across, just under 3" high and is sold as a set of two. The teacups are in good condition, with small areas of wear consistent with age. The teacup bottoms, though scrubbed and cleaned, show a few areas of slight discoloration, and have tiny surface irregularities on the bottom edges.

We pack all items with care in recycled wrappings and ship USPS, If final shipping charges are less than indicated, you'll receive a prompt refund of the difference. Please message us if you would like to insure these rare items before shipping.
